The health condition of YSR Congress president Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy, who has been on an indefinite fast demanding Special Category Status for the last five days, deteriorated on Sunday.

Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy looked very weak. Barely able to speak, he continued to greet people with folded hands. As his health condition deteriorated, his wife Bharathi Reddy rushed from Hyderabad.

Physician at the Government General Hospital, Guntur, Umashankar said the health condition of Jagan was alarming. The blood pressure levels are 100/60 mmhg, pulse 66 and sugar 74 mg. Mr. Reddy had lost considerable weight also, doctors said.

Meanwhile, senior party leaders Botcha Satyanarayana and Ummareddy Venkateswarlu slammed the State government for turning a blind eye to the plight of the people.

Accusing Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu of compromising with the Centre over the special category status to help him wriggle out of Cash-for-Vote scam, they dared Mr. Naidu to pull out of NDA government at the Centre. Youngsters were seen queuing up before the stage eager to greet get near the fasting leader.

YSRC district leader Marri Rajasekhar said the worsening health condition of their leader was worrying them and added that the Chief Minister would be held responsible if any thing untoward happened to Mr. Jagan.
