Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan challenged his YSRCP counterpart Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to respond to a serious allegation made by National Conference leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah against him.
Addressing a public meeting here on Wednesday night, Mr. Pawan asked: “Does Mr. Jagan have the guts to deny Dr. Abdullah’s disclosure that Mr. Reddy offered to pay ₹1,500 crore to the Congress if it made him the Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh in the wake of the death of his father and then Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy?” he asked.
Irked by the YSRCP’s running campaign that he had a tacit understanding with the TDP, the JSP chief said unlike Mr. Jagan, he was not in the habit of having a ‘back door understanding’ with any party. It was wrong on his part to think that the fight was only between the the YSRCP and the TDP.
“The JSP, the BSP and the Left have come together to end factional and dynastic politics practised by the two parties and bring about a refreshing change people yearn for,” he asserted.
If voted to power, the combine would facilitate setting up of Ramayapatnam sea port to promote port-led development and also set up dialysis centres in every mandal for the benefit of patients suffering from chronic kidney disease in the fluoride-hit district.
