Indian Medical Association’s AP chapter has extended its support to the nationwide indefinite strike by medical students and junior doctors against the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill.

In a press conference here on Wednesday, IMA Vijayawada chapter president Dr. M. Subhash Chandra Bose said that all the IMA units in the State would support the medical students who would go on strike and boycott classes and duties from April 2. He said that the proposed NMC Bill is against the welfare of people and the patients and would let in all sorts of corruption in healthcare. Dr. Bose said that the Bill would harm the healthy fabric of the medical community.

IMA will take out rally in support of the students.
