June 17, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - ONGOLE:

Age is no bar for learning. It is more so in the case of courses offered by the Indira Gandhi National Open University to cater to different sections of society.

A unique course offered by IGNOU, the ‘people’s university,’ is the one on Certificate in Business Skills (CBS).

The course developed by the IGNOU, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF) and the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada, is a boon to unemployed youth, disadvantaged sections both in rural and urban areas and street children, according to ABM Degree College Principal T.S.S. Singh and IGNOU Coordinator M.Vijayendra Babu. The college has been nominated as IGNOU’s regular study Centre. Those who completed just 10+2 or equivalent could enrol for CBS, they told reporters here on Tuesday.
