N. Gopalaswami, former Chief Election Commissioner and a Padmabhushan awardee, has been appointed as Chancellor of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP)- Tirupati.
According to a release by the deemed varsity, Mr. Gopalaswami’s appointment has been made by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development under Department of Higher Education (Languages Division), for a period of five years with effect from October 21, 2015.
RSVP V-C Hare Krishna Satpathy and others have expressed their happiness over the appointment.
