Describing the visit to his alma mater, MLC of Teachers’ Constituency, Guntur, A.S. Ramakrishna said that it was like home coming after over three decades.

Dr. Ramakrishna, who did his post-graduation in social work in Andhra University, became emotional while interacting with his former teachers. He and about 40 others assembled at the department, as part of the Grand Alumni Meet. “It was here that I learnt the best practices of life. Whatever I am today, I owe it to the department and Andhra University,” he said.

The MLC also assured to do his best to acquire funds for the university from the government.

Additional SP (Administration) Visakhapatnam District Police K. Satyanarayna and former student of the department and a classmate of Dr. Ramakrishna, aired a similar view.

“In those days being a student of AU was considered to be a thing of pride. We hope that the university regains its lost glory,” he said.

At the College of Law, former High Court Judge and alumnus of the college, Ethirajulu, delivered an inspiring talk on ethics and advocacy skills to the current students and a host of alumni who had come from different parts of the country.

Former District Judge Dharma Rao, the current District Judge Jayasurya, noted advocate D.V. Somayajulu, all alumnus of the college, and former principals of the college Jagan Mohan Rao and D.S.N. Somayajulu were present.
