Four members of the CPI (Maoist), including a woman, surrendered before the Superintendent of Police (Visakhapatnam Rural) Rahul Dev Sharma here on Saturday.

Mr. Sharma said the Maoists were “disillusioned” by their leaders as they were coercing the tribal people into killing their own community members and leaders.

Korra Chellamma, alias Amrutha (24) of Landula village of Pedabayalu mandal, was a cut-off area member with the AOB Special Zone Committee. The government had announced a reward of ₹1 lakh on her head. She had joined the group in 2014 after getting attracted by its songs.
