Flawless land records vital, says official

‘Special drive needed to correct mistakes’

Finance Secretary Muddada Ravichandra on Saturday said that proper maintenance of revenue records would prevent legal tangles and ensure hassle- free transactions for villagers and others.

He said that special drive to correct mistakes in the revenue records was need of the hour.

He attended as a chief guest for the distribution of e-pattadar passbooks to villagers in Sairigam village of Jalumuru mandal.

He lauded the initiative of the district administration for issuance of certificates and passbooks in a flawless manner. Joint Collector K.V.N. Chakradhar Babu said that the administration had already updated records in 76 villages.

‘Good response’

He expressed happiness for the good response for the ‘Rythu Sevalo Revenue Sakha’ and other programmes.

Narasannapeta MLA Baggu Ramanamurthy thanked the officials for updating details of the records which would enable farmers to get loans in a hassle-free manner from banks and other financial institutions.
