Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will be laying the foundation stone for the ITC My Fortune, a five star hotel at Vidya Nagar on Ring Road, on Friday in the presence of ITC Chairman Y.C. Deveshwar and Managing Director, ITC Hotels, Nakul Anand, and other top executives.
The 150- room capacity hotel is the third in the My Fortune chain of hotels, ITC’s own brand of luxury hotels, after Chennai and Bengaluru. It is for the first time that a five star hotel is coming up in Guntur.
Even as ITC Limited is all set to make Guntur as the country’ hub for agribusiness operations, the company will be investing Rs.150 crore in the My Fortune Five Star Hotel.
The ITC Chairman is also expected to unveil the company’s future plans in AP in the presence of Chief Minister.
The company has already made Guntur as the headquarters for its all-India Agri Business Operations and a hub for procurement of all commodities, crop development, research, and food safety sectors.
For over 100 years, ITC-Leaf Tobacco Division, India’s largest buyer of leaf tobacco, has been working with farmers in Guntur and Prakasam districts. The ITC-ILTD Tobacco factories in Chirala had provided employment to hundreds of families and the company has been working in areas of afforestation, water conservation, and literacy.
