October 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:53 am IST - SRIKAKULAM:

Junior doctors of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Science on Tuesday staged a protest on the hospital premises, seeking the arrest of a few youngsters from Pedapadu village who reportedly attacked and injured them at a dhaba located on the outskirts of the town. According to sources, around 20 medicos went to the dhaba to celebrate the birthday of their friend Rukmakara Reddy.

They reserved the seats and waited for others to join the party. A group of youngsters from Pedapadu strongly protested the booking of all the chairs at the dhaba, preventing the medicos to organise the party. It led to an argument between both the groups and turned into a brawl.

As many as five medicos including Mohan, Sandeep, Vikas, Kiran and others received injuries in the reported attack by the youngsters at the dhaba.
