Former Speaker A. Eswara Reddi has lambasted the Telugu Desam Party government for concentrating all development in the ‘Amaravathi’ region.
Taking exception to the way the TDP leaders as well as the ‘ardent Modi followers’ were ignoring the backward Rayalaseema, Dr. Reddi, in a statement, recalled the announcement made by Union Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu on the formation of a railway zone in Visakhapatnam after consulting the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, but to no avail.
“It would be redundant to have a super specialty hospital in Amaravathi instead of expanding the Guntur General Hospital, a brain child of the erstwhile Chief Minister Kasu Brahmananda Reddy,” he said.
He appealed to the government to strike a balance in distributing development.
