e-lottery for Arjitha seva tickets

In a path-breaking decision the TTD has resolved to set apart certain Arjitha seva tickets being issued under current booking system across the bank counters on day-to-day basis and henceforth issue them by way of electronic-dip system.

Under the new system which will come into force from Saturday devotees can enrol their names at the bank counters between 11 am and 5 pm.

Soon after the completion of the enrolment process the bank authorities will conduct the electronic-dip and intimate the applicants by way of SMS about the allotment of seva tickets to them.

The devotees can avail their allotted tickets before 8 pm everyday.

Briefing the media TTD JEO K.S. Srinivasa Raju on Thursday said Arjitha seva tickets like Suprabhatam, Kalyanotsavams, and those of weekly sevas such as Visesha pooja on Mondays, Astadala Pada Padmaradhana (Tuesday), Sahasra Kalasabhishekam (Wednesday), Thiruppavada (Thursday) and Nija Pada darshan on Fridays which have a great demand among the pilgrim fraternity have been brought under the electronic-dip system.

However the darshan tickets of other day time sevas including Anga Pradakshinam can be availed at the bank counters on normal basis, he said.

‘Donor cells’

Meanwhile, TTD Executive Officer D. Sambasiva Rao emphasised on the need for strengthening the 'Donor Cell' to enhance the services undertaken by the organisations. Reviewing activities of donor cell, various trusts and schemes by the TTD, Mr. Rao said banking, reception and information services should be directly run by the donor cell to ensure a smooth functioning of the system, including employment of additional staff.

Mr. Rao further urged the heads of various trusts to come up with a strategic action plan to enhance their image and reach more number of donors in an effective manner
