Police on Thursday arrested eight persons including the in-laws-to-be of a 22-year-old man from a Dalit community who was found dead at Bollapalli, near Martur on last Wednesday.
DSP C. Jaya Ramaraju said the arrested included grandfather, father, mother and two brothers of the girl, with whom the youth was in love. It is learnt that the girl’s family members had promised to perform the marriage.
The youth was allegedly invited to a secluded place by the girl’s family who had engaged people to kill him. The youth was stabbed to death, police said.
