The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board(APPCB) is organizing a one-day conclave to discuss clean-air action plans, approved by the Central Pollution Control Board in April, for non-attainment cities of Andhra Pradesh. The conclave is to be held in collaboration with the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) at a hotel in the city on Tuesday.

Neerabh Kumar Prasad, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Environment, Forest, Science and Technology(EFS&T), will inaugurate the conclave and Ms. Anumita Roy Chowdhury, Executive Director, CSE, will be delivering the keynote address.

The event is expected to be attended by experts from Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Nellore and Kurnool, who will deliberate upon various strategies to reduce emissions from key sources including vehicles, wastes from constructions and open burning of solid waste in cities.
