Setting December as deadline, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has asked the officials to hasten the construction works on housing in Capital city Amaravati.
Addressing a review meeting on CRDA at Secretariat on Friday, the Chief Minister said that the six towers for providing housing for IAS officers and others should be completed as early as possible. One of the towers should be exclusively for High Court judges. The towers should be attractive and of high standards. Give top priority for elevation of towers and greenery in the capital region, he said.
Informing that the bidding of Amaravati bonds would be closed by Tuesday and listing is likely to be by the end of August, the CRDA officials requested the Chief Minister to attend the programme in Mumbai. The State government is floating bonds to a tune of ₹2,000 crore. Mr. Naidu responded positively to the invitation.
Underground drainage
Mr. Naidu asked the CRDA officials to develop greenery on both sides of the national highway in the CRDA limits. The greenery has to be developed in a stretch of 130 km. The greenery should be developed from both Gannavaram and Chilakaluripeta sides. He also wanted the CRDA to beautify the canal bunds in Vijayawada city. He told municipal officials of Vijayawada and Guntur to complete the underground drainage works early.
