Chief Election Officer Bhanwar Lal on Saturday asked the district administration to complete the task of seeding Aadhaar numbers with the voter identity cards by May 15.
At a review meeting here on Saturday, Mr. Bhanwar Lal said that Aadhaar seeding of around 39 per cent of the total electorate in the district were yet to be completed. Revealing the statistics, the CEO said that out of the 6.54 crore voters in the State, seeding had been completed for four crore people.
He asked the Booth Level Officers to conduct a house-to-house visit and complete the process by May 15. Stating that Vemuru Assembly constituency recorded 100 per cent seeding, the CEO said that seeding process was on at a brisk pace in rural areas than urban areas. In case, the family members did not possess Aadhaar card, he asked the BLOs to get them enrolled for the immediately.
