Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will be in the city on January 7 a one-day visit to participate in various official programmes, with the Collectors’ conference topping the bill.

According to the schedule, the Chief Minister will arrive at Gannavaram airport at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. He will inaugurate the National Ball Badminton championship tournament at the Municipal Stadium at 9 a.m. The Chief Minister will participate in the Collectors’ Conference from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The conference, a precursor to the forthcoming budget session, will discuss threadbare the issues confronting the State as well as the allocations to be made to different departments. The meeting understandably would deliberate on prioritisation of allocations to different department in the first full-fledged budget of Andhra Pradesh, post-bifurcation.

Mr. Naidu will deliver his concluding address at the meeting before leaving for Gannavaram airport in the evening, from where he will fly to Hyderabad.
