Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member (elect) K.Chiranjeevi said he owed his growth in politics to the voters of Tirupati and hence he is always indebted to the people of the divine city.

In what was dubbed as his last visit to Tirupati as the local legislator, Mr. Chiranjeevi recalled his visit to Tirupati for the 100 days function of his blockbuster film ‘Pasivadi Pranam' and said he had developed an affection towards Tirupati since then.

More schemes

Listing out the funds to the tune of Rs.500 crore brought by him for the constituency during his three-year stint, he said he would not miss the opportunity as the Member of Parliament to bag more schemes for ‘his people'.

He however, cautiously added that it was not a parting function as he would continue to remain among his voters.

Endowments Minister C. Ramachandraiah, former MLA M.Venkatramana, party leaders Pasupuleti Hariprasad, Vooka Vijayakumar, Kathula Sudhakar and Mukku Satyavanthudu felicitated Mr. Chiranjeevi.
