Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal on Sunday said new ‘purified’ electoral list with Aadhaar linkage will be published by August. He said all the district administrations were advised to complete enrolment of Aadhaar number in voters' list as early possible.
He reviewed the Aadhaar enrolment with Srikakulam Collector P.Lakshmi Narasimham and Joint Collector Vivek Yadav on Sunday at Srikakulam collectorate.
He said people need not worry about removal of their names from voters’ list if they did not have Aadhaar cards. "We will not remove names if some people go to other places on temporary migration," he added.
