Verdict on Vishnu’s bail plea on Wednesday, nine others get bail

The Vijayawada court on Tuesday granted bail to nine accused in spurious liquor case, while the bail plea of Congress leader and former MLA Malladi Vishnu and his brother M. Srinivas, were posted to Wednesday for hearing.

Five persons died and 32 others were hospitalised after consuming liquor in Swarna Bar and Restaurant in the city on December 7. A day after the incident, the Krishnalanka Police arrested nine persons and the Congress leader and his brother were arrested a couple of days ago.
