The Hindu chess competition tomorrow

The Hindu in School will conduct chess competition for students at Viswam educational campus in Varadaraja Nagar on July 31. Superintendent of Police R. Jayalakshmi will take part as chief guest and distribute prizes to the winners.

The event, to be conducted for the first time in Tirupati in association with the Andhra Pradesh Chess Association, will be an open for boys and girls. The competition will be conducted in two categories, viz., juniors (V to VIII class) and seniors (IX to XII/Intermediate second year).

Participants should bring their own chess sets, clock and lunch, while snacks will be provided by the organisers at the venue. Registration can be done at www.thehindu.com/thischess.
