February 11, 2015 02:39 pm | Updated November 17, 2021 02:50 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The Telangana Government has issued orders constituting a committee to identify posts held by IAS, IPS and Indian Forest Service officers in the State where other Central civil service officers could be posted on deputation.

The committee will also consider the requests from officers of the Central services -- Indian Railways Administrative Service, Indian Railways Traffic Service, Indian Revenue Service and Indian Postal Service -- for deputation to State Government and decide their suitability to man the posts held by IAS, IPS and the IFS officers.

The panel will be headed by Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration M.G. Gopal and includes two other Principal Secretaries -- J. Raymond Peter (Panchayatiraj) and Ajay Misra (Political) -- as members.

By another order, the Government issued guidelines for taking the Central service officers on deputation. They included constitution of a committee to go through the excess ex-cadres posts used by the IAS, IPS and IFS officers for allotment to Central service officers on deputation.

The officers will not be posted to cadre posts in any of the all India services. The committee will consider requests for deputation only on administrative exigencies keeping in view the posts required to be filled.
