Janmabhoomi in AP from Oct. 2: Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu has announced that the Janmabhoomi - Mana vooru programme would be held from October 2 to 20 in the State.

In a video conference with officials - from district collectors to mandal level officers, Mr. Naidu directed them to prepare lists of eligible beneficiaries for enhanced pensions and synchronise the benefits with Aadhaar numbers to weed out ineligible persons.

Mr. Naidu asked officers to give priority for five campaigns for 100 per cent construction of individual toilets in all villages, plantation of trees, recharging of ground water, enrollment of school children in schools and health and sanitation.

He made it clear that irregularities in selection of beneficiaries would not be tolerated as government would be spending Rs 5,000 crore on pensions to help poorest of the poor.

He also explained to them about how they should work for the success of seven missions and five grids.

The video conference lasted over two hours,
