: International Yoga Day celebrations were held across the district in government offices, colleges and schools. Minister for Agriculture Prathipati Pulla Rao and Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu on Tuesday took part in the celebrations at District Revenue Kalyana Mandapam.
Yoga Day was also celebrated at District Police Offices in both Guntur Urban and Rural offices.
At ANU, Vice-Chancellor A. Rajendra Prasad led the celebrations held at auditorium. About 9,500 cadets took part in the yoga drill by the Guntur NCC Group Headquarters across the three districts of Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore. Group Commander B. Hari Krishna Naidu and Commanding Officer of 25 (A) Battalion, Lt Col Sunil Yadav coordinated the event in which 2,736 NCC cadets of various schools took part.
