An eight-month-old boy reportedly died after he fell off the bed at his house in the Vidyanagar area of Tirupati Rural mandal here on Monday.
The incident came into light when the infant’s mother Karishma (19) found the boy, Prabash, lying on the ground, cornered to the wardrobe.
Her husband Mohan Kumar (23), who works as a salesman with a private firm, was also informed. The doctor, who was called to check the boy, declared him dead, but could not ascertain the reason of the death.
M.R. Palle Police have registered a case under Section 174 of the Cr.P.C. (suspicious death). Infant’s body has been sent for autopsy and investigation is on.
