43,731 qualify in ICET-2019

A total of 43,731 candidates have qualified in the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test- 2019 (APICET) in the State.

Addressing the media after releasing the results, Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) S. Vijaya Raju said of the 52,736 applicants, 48,445 candidates appeared for the test. The percentage of qualified candidates has come down this year by 2.33 % as 90.27 % passed the test against 92.60 % last year.

Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) conducted the test this year. The candidates wrote their exam from 98 centres across the State. There are 354 colleges in the State offering a course in MBA and 131 colleges offer a course in MCA. The qualified candidates will fill the 43,809 available seats and 8,665 MCA seats.

The top 10 rankers are: K. Nagasuman from Guntur district, K. Kavyasree from East Godavari district, M.V. Sivasai Pavan from Vijayawada, Y. Munichandra Reddy from Kadapa, O. Bhanuprakash from Chittoor, M. Venkata Nagendra from Visakhapatnam, P.V.L. Kiranmayi from East Godavari district, K. Bhanuprakash Reddy from Chittoor, A. Akhil from Hyderabad and A. Surendra Reddy from Kurnool.

Vice-Chancellor of SVU and chairman of AP ICET-2019 V.V. N. Rajendra Prasad, convener M. Srinivasa Reddy and co-convener B. Sudhir were also present.
