2 killed in factory blast in Nalgonda district

Two persons were killed and another was injured in a blast at Ideal Explosives Limited on Sunday in Chityal of Nalgonda district in Andhra Pradesh.

The deceased were identified as Avula Srinivas, 26 native of Nerinomula village of Ramannapet mandal and Rajpul Majji, native of Kalahandi district in Odisha.

Another employee Ilapuram Srinivas, 30, too suffered minor injuries.

According to sources, the blast occurred in a PETN (Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate) manufacturing plant.

The employees alleged that the plant which produces high explosive PETN was being run non-stopsince Saturday night.
