Press Registrar assumes office

T. Jayaraj, a 1982 batch official of the Indian Information Service, has assumed office as Press Registrar of Registrar of Newspapers for India.

Mr. Jayaraj earlier worked as Additional Director-General at the Press Information Bureau, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. He also served as Public Relations Director in Ministry of Defence and as All India Radio special correspondent in Trincomalee and Jaffna in Sri Lanka during the Indian peacekeeping operations in the 1980s.
