Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, who last week got a clean chit in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case, on Wednesday broke her hunger strike here. She called off her fast as the authorities made arrangements for her to visit the ongoing Kumbh Mela here.

The Sadhvi had gone on a hunger strike at a hospital in Bhopal as the authorities earlier did not allow her to take part in the Kumbh Mela despite a Dewas court’s order.

She is currently in judicial custody and undergoing treatment at the ayurvedic hospital. Pragya is expected to take a holy dip in the Shipra river on Thursday.

The Dewas court on Tuesday asked the officials to make arrangements for Pragya to bathe in the Shipra river by May 21 when the Kumbh Mela ends.
