FIR for deying ban

The Lucknow police have filed an FIR against BJP MP from Gorakhpur Yogi Adityanath and other party leaders for defying a ban on holding an election rally on Wednesday.

Election Commission officials on Thursday sent a CD of the incident to Delhi for necessary action.

“Cases were lodged late on Wednesday against Yogi Adityanath and others,” Senior Superintendent of Police, Lucknow, Praveen Kumar said, adding that all those seen in the rally footage have also been booked
