A special team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrived here from New Delhi early on Friday to question Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi, sources in the agency said.

Ms. Kanimozhi, who is the daughter of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, holds 20 per cent shares in Kalaignar TV. The CBI had conducted a search recently in Kalaignar TV, which is housed in Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam's headquarters Anna Arivalayam at Teynampet here, in connection with the 2G Spectrum scam.

Investigators claimed that a large amount of money was transferred to Kalaignar TV by one of the beneficiaries of the scam. The Tamil channel's Managing Director Sharad Kumar was questioned during the search. Mr. Karunanidhi's wife Dayalu Ammal, a shareholder in Kalaignar TV, may also be questioned by the CBI, the sources added.
