BJP demands Akhilesh’s resignation

Bulandshahr rapes show inability of SP govt. to handle law & order: Mayawati

Updated - November 17, 2021 04:34 am IST - NEW DELHI:

BJP members in the Lok Sabha on Monday demanded the resignation of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav over the rape of a woman and her minor daughter in Bulandshahr, and criticised the government’s handling of the law and order situation. Bulandshahr MP, Bhola Singh, alleged that such incidents were taking place as criminals enjoyed the government’s “protection.”

“Police are not able to work. The situation in the State is very serious. The Chief Minister should resign,” he said, drawing support from other party members.
