Avoid travel to Pakistan, pilgrims told

As Pakistan is witnessing terror attacks at alarming regularity, the government on Tuesday asked Indian pilgrims not to visit that country.

“It is not advisable for Indian pilgrims to visit Pakistan in the prevailing situation when frequent terrorist attacks are taking place in the Punjab province, where all gurdwaras are situated,” the travel advisory said.

The Home Ministry said: “All Indian citizens to avoid undertaking any visit to Pakistan for this purpose till the security situation in Pakistan improves.”
