The Goa police are probing into an anonymous post card received at the State Secretariat here around 4-5 days back, threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.

Inspector General of Police V. Renganathan told The Hindu on Tuesday that the post card was received by General Administration and was promptly handed over to police.

“Since you are not allowing to eat cow-meat(beef), you will be taken care of,” the letter stated.

The senior police official said that the letter has been posted locally.

He also said the security measures for Mr. Parrikar will be beefed up while he is in Goa.
