The Army killed four militants in a daylong operation in the forests of Baramulla’s Rafiabad area in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. One soldier was injured.

A batch of the Army’s 32 Rashtriya Rifles joined the elite 9 PARA commandos to flush out a group of militants active in the forest area.

Director General of Police S.P. Vaid said at least five militants were trapped at the encounter site in the Dooniwari forest.

The police said it was ascertaining the identity of the slain militants. Meanwhile, The Army paid tributes to four soldiers killed during a counter-infiltration operation in Bandipora’s Gurez Sector on Tuesday.
