On Saturday, several thousand protestors thronged Colombo’s iconic sea-front, Galle Face, leading up to the Presidential Secretariat to reiterate their demand that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the family immediately resign. Protests have surged over the past few weeks, as Sri Lanka’s economic crisis escalates, leaving citizens amidst crippling shortages.
