A two-seater plane of the Pakistani army made an emergency landing in a cricket ground of the country's Sindh province.

The ‘Fokker’ plane made the emergency landing in the Makli Cricket Ground near the historic Thatta town here on Sunday, The Dawn daily said.

The pilot Captain Shafique and his co-pilot, whose name could not be ascertained, remained unhurt.

Media teams rushed to the site and found the two-seater plane with its nose damaged and left propeller tilted near the cricket pitch. It was inscribed with ‘Army plane 186.’

The report quoted witnesses, who said the low-flying plane was on its way from Badin to Karachi and probably developed a fault and the pilot skilfully made an emergency landing on the cricket ground.
