Screening of Kamal Haasan film Vishwaroopam , has been suspended in Sri Lanka.
Cabinet spokesman and Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said that the screening of the movie was suspended because it had the potential to damage racial harmony in the country.
“The suspension will remain in force till a further review is done,” Mr. Keheliya said at his weekly press conference on Thursday.
Contentious theme
Initially, the film was given the nod by the Sri Lankan Censor Board after some scenes were edited.
