Woman robbed

of gold ornaments

A 31-year-old woman was threatened and robbed of her gold ornaments weighing 10 sovereign by unidentified person in broad daylight in Dharmapuri, an outskirts on Tuesday.

Police sources said Mahalakshmi, whose husband Ganapathy was working as driver at Raj Nivas alleged that the incident took place after Mr. Ganapathy left for work.

According to the complainant, the youth was sitting near the residence and pretending to read a book. As soon as Mr. Ganapthy left he robbed gold ornaments from her by putting a knife to her two-year-old son.

Mettupalayam police registered a case and has been investigating. – Special Correspondent
