Tagore Arts College has been re-accredited with ‘B’ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The NAAC is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country.

In a press release, Principal U. Pitchaimani said that it was a matter of pride for the institution that the NAAC has awarded a four-point scale at ‘B’ Grade for the college valid for period of five years from May 15.

The NAAC peer team had visited the college from March 23 to 25 for re-accreditation.

The college now becomes eligible for grants from the UGC and the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development.
