Chief Minister N. Rangasamy on Friday paid floral tributes to statue of Mahatma Gandhi on his 67th death anniversary. 

Legislative Assembly Speaker V. Sabapathy and Ministers P. Rajavelu and T. Thiagarajan also offered floral tributes to the father of the nation.

A two minute silence was also observed.

Earlier, devotional songs were sung by students of Bharathiar Palkalaikoodam.

A delegation of Congress leaders led by former Union Minister for State V. Narayanasamy, former Chief Minister V. Vaithilingam and Pradesh Congress Committee president A.V. Subramaniam also paid homage.
