Lt. Governor Kiran Bedi on Saturday launched the Raj Nivas film series with a screening of the award-winning Tamil film, Kaaka Muttai for students of the city.

Addressing an audience of about 200 students from diverse backgrounds on the lawns of the Raj Nivas, Ms. Bedi encouraged them to excel in their studies so that they become leaders of society and officers of the government to bring development and prosperity.

She urged them to dream big stating that their entry into Raj Nivas should inspire them to become public officials and serve in Raj Nivas or the Secretariat or the All India Services.

G. Theva Neethi Dhas welcomed the students and the faculty members.

The screening of award-winning films to Students of Puducherry Schools will be made in partnership with Film Society of Puducherry in future. The film screening follows the Raj Nivas to lecture series that featured eminent lecturers to talk on varied subjects ranging from leadership, management, history, and philosophy.
