Cycle rally stresses on its judicious use

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) in association with the Puducherry Sports Federal Academy on Sunday organised a cycle rally on Beach road, stressing the need for judicious utilisation and conservation of petroleum products, such as fuel, oil and gas in day-to-day life.

Welfare Minister M. Kandasamy flagged off the rally as part of a nationwide awareness programme. About 100 participants, including HPCL dealers, LPG distributors and staff took part in the cycle rally that went through Ambour Salai, Bussy Street and culminated at the Beach Road.

Mr. Kandasamy also administered a pledge to the participants to raise awareness among the masses to avoid wasting petroleum products and ensure a better environment.
