NLCIL staff donate ₹3 crore

Employees contribute a day’s salary towards relief fund

Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Ltd (NLCIL) has donated ₹3 crore apart from employees’ contribution of a day’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund towards restoration work in Delta districts ravaged by Cyclone Gaja.

The NLCIL despatched a team with relief materials from Neyveli and Thoothikudi for the cyclone affected areas.

Pondicherry University has rescheduled the MBBS Examinations that were postponed on November 16 because of Cyclonic Gaja to November 24 (Saturday), the Controller of Examinations of Pondicherry University B. Chithra has said.

The General Surgery paper-II Examinations will be held in the forenoon while General Pathology Paper-II is slated for the afternoon. Students pursuing MBBS through affiliated colleges are requested to note the rescheduled dates which are posted on the University website.
