Puducherry Municipality warns those who park vehicles on roads

The Puducherry Municipality on Monday warned of strict action against those who park their vehicles by encroaching road space.

Municipal Commissioner R.Chandirasekaran said rental vehicles’ shops, workshops, educational institutions commercial establishments have been strictly instructed not to park their vehicles on the roads, canal embankments and pavements.

The vehicles parked in such manner causing nuisance to the public will be removed with assistance of police and other authorities.

“The managements of the schools should advise the students to park their vehicles inside the premises. If they do not have parking space, they will have to create parking facility,” said Mr.Chandirasekaran.

He also warned that trade licences of textile complexes would be cancelled if they are not having parking facility.
