DGP transferred to New Delhi

Sources said Inspector General of Police Praveer Ranjan would be heading the State police force until a new person was appointed.

P. Kamaraj, Director General of Police (DGP), has been transferred to New Delhi in a shake-up of top bureaucrats. No officer has been posted in his place yet. Sources said Inspector General of Police Praveer Ranjan would be heading the State police force until a new person was appointed.

District Collector S.B. Deepak Kumar has been transferred to Chandigarh.

T. Sreekanth, Chief Electoral Officer, has been transferred and posted as Secretary to Governor, while A.Muthamma, District Collector of Karaikal, was shifted to Mizoram.

Five new IAS officers have been posted to Puducherry. T.M. Balakrishnan returns from Central deputation, G.Thevaneethi Dhas from Andaman and Nicobar and B. R Babu from Arunachal Pradesh who served in the Union territory of the Puducherry earlier.

R. Mihir Vardhan from Goa and Sajjan Singh Yadav from Delhi have been shifted to Puducherry and V.J. Chandran, an IPS officer has been transferred from Mizoram.
