Minister for Health Malladi Krishna Rao on Saturday accused Lt. Governor Kiran Bedi of interfering in the day-to-day administration of the Union Territory despite the court restraining her from doing so.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress office, he said Ms. Bedi continued to interfere in the functioning of an elected government.
An elected government was not able to perform its task due to the style of functioning of the Lt. Governor, he added.
He accused Ms. Bedi of stalling several tourism-related projects at Yanam. Several projects were sanctioned by the Centre but they could not implement them because of interference of Ms. Bedi, he said.
Mr. Rao said he would be formally writing to the President and Prime Minister to apprise them of the Lt. Governor's attitude.
