Annamalai University, Chidambaram, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Naadhabrahmam for music-related graded certificate programmes.

The MoU was signed by Naadhabrahmam founder N. Subramanian, director Meenakshi Subramanian and Vice-Chancellor S. Manian, Registrar (I/C) K. Arumugam, Dean of Fine Arts Muthuraman, K. Manivannan (Director – Academic Affairs) and M. Arul, Director–Directorate of Distance Education).

80 hours per grade

The university is offering one-year grade certificate programmes for instruments (veenai, violin, flute, nagaswaram and keyboard), vocals and Thevaram. The PCP (Personal Contact Programme) is pegged at 80 hours per grade.

The courses are designed to motivate applicants to pursue their passion through systematic and organised examinations conducted in a University format. There will be different grades, from 1 to 8 depending on the proficiency of the students.

The admission is open to all music lovers of different age groups from seven years and above, according to the university website.
