Amit Shah plans two-day visit

Bharatiya Janata Party’s national president Amit Shah will arrive here on June 26 on a two-day visit to oversee the organisational activities in the Union Territory.

BJP Puducherry unit president V. Saminathan said Mr. Shah would be received at the Lawspet helipad on Monday. He would offer floral tributes at the statue of Subramaniya Bharathi.

During his stay in the city, the BJP president will meet the party State office-bearers and workers. A series of meetings are scheduled during his stay in Puducherry. He will meet representatives from the industry and Chambre De Commerce, Mr. Saminathan added.
