Woman, lover held for husband’s murder

A 25-year-old woman and her lover were arrested for allegedly murdering her husband in Ambernath and dumping his body in a well in Panvel.

On Tuesday, the Panvel taluka police recovered the body of Umesh Dyandev Madhvi (29), who was employed in a private company in Taloja. The wife, Trupti, had filed a missing person complaint on September 9. The police said that the boyfriend strangled Madhvi and placed his body in a sack. He then dumped it in a well and fled.Trupti was produced in court and remanded in police custody till September 21.
